About the role#
As a Propulsion Engineer Test Intern, you will gain hands-on experience working with high-performance propulsion systems. You will support engine and system-level testing, working directly with engineers and technicians to set up test campaigns, monitor data, and troubleshoot issues. This role contributes directly to hypersonic development efforts.
What you'll do#
- Work alongside experienced engineers to assist in designing, setting up, and operating test stands while learning the fundamentals of propulsion system testing.
- Instrument test setups, monitor test conditions, and analyze performance data to contribute to system improvements and troubleshooting efforts.
- Partner with engineers and technicians to refine test processes, enhance safety procedures, and develop a deeper understanding of propulsion systems in a real-world testing environment.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a STEM program at an accredited college or university (undergraduate student in your third or fourth year, or enrolled in a Master's or Ph.D. program).
- Practical experience designing, building, and testing vehicles through internships, studies, or projects.
- Strong understanding of engineering first principles.
- Strong interest in propulsion systems and testing.
- Demonstrated ability to work within cross-functional teams.
- Enthusiasm for aviation and the company mission.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- A GPA of 3.0 or above.
- Must be a U.S. person as defined by 22 C.F.R. 120.62 to meet U.S. export control requirements.

- Location: Jacksonville, Florida.
- Term: Fall 2026 (approximately 16 weeks, September through December).
