About the role#
This internship provides hands-on experience in the planning, execution, and analysis of flight tests for high-Mach and hypersonic aircraft. You will work on-site in Los Angeles during the Summer 2026 or Fall 2027 terms. This is a full-time, paid position.
What you'll do#
- Collaborate with experienced engineers to support flight test campaigns and address real-world aerospace challenges.
- Monitor test parameters and interpret flight data to improve system performance and safety.
- Partner with engineering teams to refine test processes while developing your understanding of aircraft systems and flight dynamics.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a STEM program at an accredited university, specifically as a third or fourth-year undergraduate, or a Master's or Ph.D. student.
- Pursuing a degree in Aerospace, Mechanical, Electrical, Computer, or Industrial Engineering.
- Practical experience designing, building, and testing vehicles through projects, studies, or previous internships.
- A strong understanding of engineering first principles and a demonstrated ability to work in cross-functional teams.
- A GPA of 3.0 or higher.
- A strong interest in flight testing and enthusiasm for the mission.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Must be a U.S. person as defined by 22 C.F.R. 120.62 to meet U.S. export control requirements.
