About the role#
This Fellowship program provides paid supervision hours through a structured clinical path. You will provide one-on-one ABA interventions to teach communication, daily living skills, and positive behaviors. Fellows complete unrestricted activities as defined by the BACB to help meet the requirements to sit for the BCBA exam. This is a full-time, on-site position.
What you'll do#
- Build trusting relationships with clients through social interaction.
- Encourage communication, social skills, and problem-solving.
- Guide clients toward safe behaviors and reduce prompts to promote independence.
- Increase the duration of desirable behaviors using positive reinforcement.
- Collect unbiased behavior data and communicate with RBTs, BCBAs, families, and Clinical Directors.
- Conduct behavior-analytic assessments and research relevant literature for client programming.
- Train staff and caregivers on behavior-analytic programs.
- Write and revise behavior-analytic programs while maintaining the BACB Ethical Compliance Code.
- Work with a BCBA mentor on guided practice of the BCBA role.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in or graduation from a BACB approved Master’s or Certification program.
- Your program must have a BACB reported exam pass rate of 60% or higher for 3 consecutive years or be ABAI/APBA accredited.
- Ability to pass the RBT exam within 30 days of employment if not already certified.
- Must be an active RBT for 60 days with Helping Hands Family.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills for documentation and family interaction.
