About the role#
HCVT is seeking interns for the Summer 2027 Tax program. This is a full-time, paid internship. You will work with firm professionals to develop your technical and soft skills while gaining experience in a professional accounting environment.
What you'll do#
- Prepare federal and multi-state income tax returns for individuals, partnerships, corporations, and trusts.
- Create related income tax work papers.
- Manage projects to meet engagement timelines and budget guidelines.
- Learn and use firm tax preparation software.
- Share knowledge with team members to support client service.
- Perform self-reviews of your work.
- Conduct tax technical research as assigned by supervisors.
What you'll need#
- You are on track to complete a bachelor’s or master’s degree in accounting or taxation between December 2027 and May 2028.
- You maintain a minimum overall and accounting GPA of 3.0.
- You are an active member of Beta Alpha Psi or another campus accounting organization.
- You demonstrate strong technical aptitude and effective verbal and written communication skills.
- You exhibit leadership skills, including sound judgment, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
Location & details#
- This role is based in Fort Worth, Texas.
- The internship operates on a hybrid work model.
- This position is full-time from mid-June through mid-August 2027.
- Sponsorship for work authorization is not available for this position.
