About the role#
HCVT is seeking an Audit Intern for the Winter 2027 term. This internship provides exposure to professional audit procedures and firm operations within a hybrid work environment.
What you'll do#
- Assist engagement teams in documenting and executing audit procedures.
- Complete assigned projects within established timelines and budget guidelines.
- Organize and manage the information flow between clients and the audit team.
- Identify and communicate potential audit issues to engagement team members.
- Provide timely status updates to seniors, managers, and partners.
- Utilize firm audit software and perform self-reviews of work.
- Participate in firm training, recruiting events, and professional development activities.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in accounting or taxation, with an expected graduation date between May 2027 and June 2028.
- Minimum overall and accounting GPAs of 3.0.
- Active membership in Beta Alpha Psi or a similar campus accounting organization.
- Strong technical aptitude and effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Demonstrated leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
- Ability to multi-task, prioritize responsibilities, and work with attention to detail.
Location & details#
- Location: Monrovia, California.
- Term: Winter 2027 (January through March/April).
- Commitment: Full-time (20–40+ hours per week).
- Modality: Hybrid.
- Compensation: Paid position ($38.00 per hour) with eligibility for a program completion bonus.
- Note: Sponsorship for work authorization is not available for this position.
