About the role#
The Advisory business practice is the management consulting arm of Hatch. We help clients in the mining, energy, and infrastructure sectors solve business problems by combining technical, social, and financial expertise. As an Advisory Analyst, you will assist in consulting engagements by collecting, analyzing, and presenting data to inform client business decisions.
What you'll do#
- Deconstruct high-level information to identify underlying fundamental drivers.
- Aggregate detailed information to form a holistic understanding of project needs.
- Evaluate information from multiple sources and reconcile conflicts.
- Develop or assist in the preparation of cost models, financial models, and business cases.
- Collaborate with team members and subject matter experts to analyze tradeoffs between objectives and business performance.
- Collate information from data sources, document analysis, workshops, and surveys.
- Prepare cases and scenarios to assist consultants.
- Manage multiple initiatives simultaneously while providing administrative support.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an Engineering, Science, Business, Commerce, or Economics program at an accredited university.
- At least two years of your program completed with excellent academic standing.
- Strong numerical and analytical skills with the ability to research and summarize complex content.
- Creative problem-solving ability and a good understanding of engineering or business fundamentals.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Ability to work well in a team environment and manage your own time effectively.
- Prior co-op experience or extracurricular involvement is an asset.
