About the role#
As a Bus and Zero Emissions Intern, you will support the Infrastructure group from our Boston office. You will work on projects focused on transitioning fleets and infrastructure to zero emissions technologies. This role involves collaborating with diverse teams locally and globally to develop practical solutions for bus and rail systems.
What you'll do#
- Support bus and rail operational plans, including vehicle performance analysis and maintenance infrastructure.
- Work with utilities to assess the impacts of electrifying large fleets.
- Conduct fleet assessment and transition studies.
- Develop specifications and commercial terms for new vehicle and infrastructure procurements.
- Prepare technical documents and reports for clients and project teams.
- Assist with detailed design work and the preparation of drawings from technical notes.
- Coordinate with technicians and engineers on various projects.
- Provide support to senior engineers and designers as needed.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in urban planning, electrical engineering, environmental engineering, architecture, or a relevant field.
- A minimum cumulative 3.0 GPA on a 4.0 scale.
- A willingness to work in both office and field environments.
- Prior internship or educational experience in fleet planning, facility design, or infrastructure is preferred.
- Ability to submit a transcript with your application.
Location & details#
- Location: Boston, Massachusetts.
- Modality: On-site and hybrid. We value in-person interaction and encourage teams to be in the office for most of the time.
- Compensation: $26 to $31 per hour.
- Status: Full-time internship. Please note that we do not provide visa sponsorship.
