About the role#
The Maintenance Intern will work alongside the Maintenance Team to layout and relabel main electrical cabinets throughout the facility. This role involves mapping electrical infrastructure and organizing documentation to improve facility maintenance operations.
What you'll do#
- Use AutoCAD to create a layer to the plant layout that identifies the location of all electrical panels and I-lines.
- Verify and label all electrical panels throughout the facility.
- Create an Excel file with hyperlinks to each panel to identify power, amp ratings, and point of use.
- Keep work areas and equipment clean and orderly using 5S standards.
- Perform other maintenance duties as assigned.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a degree or certificate program related to Maintenance, Manufacturing, Electrical Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering.
- Familiarity with AutoCAD and general electrical knowledge.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions, schedules, and safety regulations.
- Capability to perform tasks accurately and maintain effective work relationships.
- General knowledge of machinery and basic math, computer, and measuring skills.
- Ability to stand, walk, or sit for extended periods.
- Ability to frequently lift up to 25 pounds, occasionally lift up to 60 pounds, and rarely lift over 60 pounds.
- Ability to occasionally climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
- Flexibility to work overtime as required.
- Ability to operate industrial powered equipment.
- Must be self-motivated.
