About the role#
Hatch is hiring interns for our Advisory business practice, which functions as our management consulting arm. You will assist in consulting engagements by collecting, analyzing, and presenting data to inform business decisions for clients in the mining, energy, and infrastructure sectors. We offer internship and co-op terms ranging from 4 to 12 months. This is a paid, full-time, on-site position based in Mississauga.
What you'll do#
- Build and assist in the preparation of cost models, financial models, and business cases for projects.
- Evaluate information from multiple sources and reconcile conflicting data.
- Deconstruct high-level information to identify fundamental drivers.
- Collate and summarize data from existing sources, document analysis, workshops, and surveys.
- Collaborate with subject matter experts to analyze tradeoffs between project objectives and business performance.
- Prepare scenarios to support analysts and consultants.
- Manage multiple initiatives simultaneously while providing administrative support as needed.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an Engineering, Science, Business, Commerce, or Economics program with at least two years completed.
- Excellent academic standing.
- Strong numerical and analytical skills, including the ability to research, filter, and summarize complex content.
- A solid understanding of engineering or business fundamentals.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work both independently and within a team environment.
Location & details#
- Location: Mississauga, Ontario, Canada.
- Work Modality: On-site.
- Compensation: $25.00 - $29.00 per hour.
- Availability: Terms available between Summer 2026 and Fall 2028.
