About the role#
The IT Operations Co-Op Student provides financial and administrative support to the IT organization. You will gain practical experience in IT operations and business processes while working under the guidance of the IT team. This role involves coordinating with IT leadership, Finance, and Accounts Payable to ensure accurate records and timely payments.
What you'll do#
- Create and issue purchase orders for IT equipment, software, services, contract labor, and capital projects.
- Coordinate approvals, budget alignment, and documentation with IT leadership and Finance.
- Record the receipt of goods and services and maintain accurate receiving records.
- Reconcile purchase orders, receipts, and invoices while researching discrepancies in pricing, taxes, or quantities.
- Track open purchase orders, backorders, and consultant invoices to support timely payments.
- Maintain organized records of vendor quotes, invoices, and received IT assets.
- Support month-end close by identifying and documenting accruals with IT leadership.
- Demonstrate commitment to company core values and contribute to the mission and vision through high-quality work.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an accredited college or university pursuing an associate or bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Supply Chain Management, or Computer Science.
- A minimum GPA of 3.25.
- Interest in purchasing, procurement, finance, accounting, or IT operations.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to build effective working relationships with internal teams and vendors.
- A basic understanding of accounting concepts, purchase orders, or invoices is preferred.
- Experience with ERP or purchasing systems is a plus.

- This is an on-site, part-time, paid internship with a rolling term.
