About the role#
This internship offers hands-on experience with enterprise applications, data analytics, and IT project delivery. You will work alongside IT analysts and business users to troubleshoot issues, analyze data, test system changes, and document processes. The goal is to help the IT team maintain and improve the business applications that support Harvest Midstream operations.
What you'll do#
- Assist IT analysts with supporting enterprise applications and resolving user, data, integration, and reporting issues.
- Collaborate with business users to understand their technology needs and document requirements for projects and process improvements.
- Develop test scenarios, execute test cases, and support user acceptance testing.
- Use tools like Microsoft Excel, SQL, and Power BI to perform data analysis and create reports or dashboards.
- Help with application configuration, workflow improvements, and process automation.
- Create and maintain documentation, including procedures, knowledge articles, and process diagrams.
- Participate in IT projects by tracking tasks, issues, and deliverables.
- Identify opportunities to automate existing business and IT processes.
- Learn company standards for cybersecurity, data privacy, and change management.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an accredited four-year university or college in Computer Science, Data Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- A GPA of 3.25 or higher.
- Full availability during the summer of 2027.
- An interest in pursuing a career in the oil and gas industry.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.
- Ability to learn new technologies and business processes quickly.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Teams, and Outlook.
- Exposure to SQL, Power BI, SharePoint, Power Automate, Python, or APIs is preferred.
- Demonstrated initiative and a willingness to ask questions.

- This is a full-time, paid, on-site internship for Summer 2027.
- Locations include Houston, TX; Anchorage, AK; Belle Chasse, LA; Bloomfield, NM; Nikiski, AK; George West, TX; Palermo, ND; and Ignacio, CO.
