    About the role#

    This internship focuses on the future of digital connection. You will research consumer trends and explore emerging digital behaviors to help Hallmark engage younger audiences through animated, interactive, and video-based greeting experiences. You will partner with creative, digital, and media teams to develop concepts and recommendations that may influence future product development.

    What you'll do#

    • Research consumer behaviors, creative trends, and digital connection experiences.
    • Explore opportunities for animated, video-based, and interactive greetings.
    • Partner with Digital Greetings, Media Studio, and Creative teams to understand current capabilities and future opportunities.
    • Develop innovative concepts focused on personalization, interactivity, and social sharing.
    • Create storyboards, visual concepts, and creative recommendations.
    • Gather feedback from cross-functional partners and refine concepts based on insights.
    • Present digital greeting concepts and recommendations to business and creative leaders.

    What you'll need#

    • Pursuit of a bachelor's degree in Digital Media, Graphic Design, Animation, Motion Design, User Experience, Interactive Media, Creative Technology, Film/Video Production, or a related field.
    • A graduation date between December 2027 and May 2030.
    • A portfolio is required for this position. Please submit it as a PDF no larger than 5 MB or provide a link to a personal portfolio website.
    • Demonstrated interest in digital content, creative storytelling, emerging media, or consumer engagement.
    • Familiarity with social, cultural, and consumer trends relevant to Gen Z and Gen Alpha audiences.
    • Skill in generating creative ideas and translating them into visual concepts, storyboards, mockups, or prototypes.
    • Proficiency with content creation tools, design software, video editing, or animation platforms.
    • Ability to collaborate across creative and business disciplines and incorporate feedback into evolving concepts.

    • Term: Summer 2027 (12 weeks).
    • Location: Kansas City, Missouri.
    • Modality: Hybrid. You will work from the headquarters in Kansas City and your local summer residence.
    • Employment: Full-time internship.
    • Compensation: This is a paid position.
