About the role#
The Guardian Summer Intern, FR&A, Rein, Statutory role is a 10-week paid internship program. You will work within the Corporate Finance and Risk organization to gain industry knowledge through daily business assignments and projects. This role offers the opportunity to interact with senior leaders and build a professional network across the company. The program runs from May 27, 2027, to August 6, 2027.
What you'll do#
- Assist in the preparation of quarterly financial statements.
- Prepare reports, exhibits, schedules, and reconciliations.
- Support audit and compliance processes while maintaining process documentation.
- Learn about the company purpose, values, and product offerings.
- Build a network of colleagues and engage with other interns.
- Think broadly and ask questions about data and business information.
What you'll need#
- Current junior status with an expected graduation date of May 2028.
- Major in Finance or Accounting.
- Proficiency in finance and accounting principles.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Experience with Microsoft Excel and data analysis.
- Interest in exploring multiple areas of Finance and Risk.
- Willingness to learn about different functions and career paths within the organization.
