About the role#
This 10-week paid summer internship offers a hands-on learning experience within a global financial services company. You will work on business-critical tasks, interact with senior leaders, and collaborate with teams across the organization. The program runs from May 27, 2027, through August 6, 2027.
What you'll do#
- Monitor and analyze events from various security operations center intake sources.
- Conduct initial event discovery, triage, and response following standard operating procedures.
- Provide tier one operational and analysis support for security technologies.
- Monitor security dashboards and process corresponding events.
- Partner with team members to handle and respond to internal customer issues.
- Execute daily security technology administration functions.
- Support cybersecurity governance and compliance activities, including assessments and control monitoring.
- Work within a team to safeguard customer data and technology platforms.
- Stay current on emerging cyber threats and industry best practices.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as a sophomore or junior in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Cybersecurity.
- Curiosity and a desire to analyze anomalies and grow in the cybersecurity field.
- Customer-focused orientation with excellent organization skills.
- Familiarity with operating systems, applications, and security concepts in at least two domains, such as Network Security, Enterprise Endpoint Security, DLP, or Identity Access Management.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Windows and Linux operating principles and troubleshooting.
- Understanding of the TCP/IP protocol stack, including routing, NAT, and common protocols like HTTP, DNS, and SMTP.
- Familiarity with cybersecurity governance and compliance concepts, including policies and risk assessments.
- Ability to manage multiple competing priorities with high attention to detail.

- Compensation: $20.00 - $35.00 per hour.
