About the role#
The Guardian Summer Intern, Sales Trainee program is a paid 10-week learning experience. You will be immersed in the daily environment of a financial services company. This program runs from May 27, 2027, to August 6, 2027.
What you'll do#
- Gain direct exposure to sales teams by joining veteran representatives on sales calls.
- Learn from supportive leaders and mentors who will coach your professional development.
- Understand Guardian’s purpose, values, and suite of product and service offerings.
- Build a network of colleagues and connect with other interns.
- Think broadly and ask questions about data and information to support business outcomes.
What you'll need#
- Current junior status with a graduation date of May 2028.
- Pursuing a degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or Economics.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to build relationships and collaborate effectively in a team environment.
- Demonstrated curiosity, willingness to learn, and desire to improve.
- Ability to manage time, balance priorities, and meet deadlines.
- Willingness to ask thoughtful questions and seek feedback.
- Ability to influence, persuade, and communicate ideas effectively.
- Competitive drive and motivation to achieve goals.
- Confidence in engaging with new people and building professional relationships.
- Personable and approachable communication style.
- Interest in developing sales skills through client-facing experiences.
- Legal authorization to work in the United States without company sponsorship.
