About the role#
The Guardian Summer Intern for Expense Management FP&A is a 10-week, full-time program. You will work in a professional financial services environment, gaining exposure to corporate finance and risk management. This internship runs from May 27, 2027, to August 6, 2027. Successful completion may provide an opportunity to be considered for the Finance Leadership Development Program.
What you'll do#
- Assist with the preparation of reports, work papers, provisions, and reconciliations.
- Support the tracking and reporting of expenses, including financial statement analytics and journal entries.
- Contribute to process improvement, automation, and ad hoc projects.
- Learn about Guardian’s purpose, values, and product offerings.
- Build a professional network and engage with mentors and team members.
- Think broadly about data and ask questions to deepen your understanding of the business.
What you'll need#
- Current junior status with an expected graduation date of May 2028.
- Pursuing a degree in Finance, Accounting, or Economics.
- Proficiency in finance and accounting principles.
- Analytical and creative problem-solving skills.
- Strong command of Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
- Familiarity with AI-powered tools or CoPilot is preferred.
- A willingness to explore different functions and career paths within Finance and Risk.

- Compensation: $20.00 - $35.00 per hour.
- Eligibility: You must be legally authorized to work in the United States without employer sponsorship now or in the future.
