About the role#
This internship provides hands-on experience in agronomy operations and field work. You will work under the direction of location management during the Summer of 2027 to learn the foundations of the GROWMARK System and the agriculture industry. The role includes participating in the Exploring Agriculture Internship Program, completing a project to improve business efficiencies, and attending an orientation meeting in Bloomington, Illinois on May 17-18, 2027.
What you'll do#
- Gain practical experience in agronomy field operations.
- Assist with the maintenance and repair of facility equipment.
- Operate technology and equipment for crop monitoring and field research.
- Apply crop nutrition and crop protection products.
- Learn processes for ordering, receiving, and managing inventory.
- Visit locations and customers to build professional relationships.
- Submit weekly activity reports and follow all safety, environmental, and company policies.
What you'll need#
- Pursuing a degree or certification from a college, technical school, or university.
- Good academic standing at the start of the internship.
- Ability to lift up to 70 pounds.
- Willingness to work in varying weather conditions and at elevated heights.
- Valid driver's license and a satisfactory driving record.
- Willingness to travel, including occasional overnight trips.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

- Location: Hartley, Iowa.
- Term: Summer 2027.
- Commitment: Full-time for a minimum of 9-10 weeks.
- Compensation: This is a paid internship.
