About the role#
Allied Cooperative offers three distinct internship tracks: Agronomy Sales, Agronomy Operations, and Exploring Ag. These roles provide broad experience across our Agronomy division. You will work on-site at one of our many Wisconsin locations, gaining hands-on experience in the field and at our facilities.
What you'll do#
Depending on your chosen track, you will take on a variety of responsibilities:
- Agronomy Sales: Identify weeds and insects, collect soil and tissue samples, and use GIS software. You will also help plan trade shows, manage marketing signage, and support NutriSolutions data collection.
- Agronomy Operations: Operate and maintain field equipment and computers. You will assist in the dispatch and application of dry and liquid fertilizers, work in chemical warehouses, and help with product deliveries.
- Exploring Ag: Support administrative tasks, assist with customer service, and help run fertilizer towers. You will also pull non-CDL loads, assist with facility maintenance, and support marketing efforts.
- General: Communicate with growers and staff, attend field day events, and assist with daily facility operations.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in an agriculture or related degree program.
- A strong interest in either agronomic sales or equipment operations.
- Recent high school graduates or students in their first or second year of college are encouraged to apply for the Exploring Ag track.
