About the role#
Allied Cooperative is hiring for a Crop Scouting Internship based in Plainfield, Wisconsin. This is a full-time, paid position that operates on a rolling basis. You will work in teams of two alongside a crop consultant to support field management decisions.
What you'll do#
- Monitor fields for insects, weeds, diseases, and nutritional or cultural issues.
- Visit grower fields on a weekly or biweekly schedule.
- Use Field Recon software to generate scouting reports for consultants.
- Collect tissue, nematode, and symptomatic crop samples.
- Handle sample preparation, log-in, and submission to consultants.
- Maintain the scout vehicle and facility.
- Complete special projects as assigned.
