About the role#
As an Agronomy Operations Management Intern, you will participate in the daily operations of an agronomy location or a seed, fertilizer, and chemical hub. You will spend about 70 percent of your time at the location and 30 percent in the fields. This role provides direct exposure to the operational tasks that influence the profit and loss of the business.
What you'll do#
- Assist with the maintenance of buildings and equipment.
- Replenish anhydrous ammonia tanks during the side dress season.
- Organize and maintain accurate records for chemical and seed inventory.
- Obtain an Ag CDL.
- Learn the processes for applicator licensure.
- Observe and learn about spraying and application procedures.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an accredited college or university, with a preference for Agronomy Juniors or Seniors.
- Previous experience in agronomy or field work.
- A valid driver license, a good driving record, and a reliable vehicle.
- Ability to work outdoors for extended periods and perform heavy lifting when required.
- Commitment to following all safety standards and procedures when handling restricted chemicals and pesticides.

- Compensation: Paid hourly, with mileage reimbursement when applicable and incentives for completing the internship.
