    About the role#

    As a Crop Technician Intern, you will perform diagnostic work throughout the growing season. You will support our Ag Tech team by collecting data and samples that help us make informed decisions for our customers. This position involves 100% travel within the territory, with 75% of your time spent in the field and 25% dedicated to training, tours, and events.

    What you'll do#

    • Scout fields to create reports on weeds, insects, diseases, growth stages, and stand counts.
    • Operate drones to capture aerial imagery and collect field data.
    • Collect corn and soybean tissue samples for laboratory testing.
    • Perform soil moisture tests and install monitoring equipment to support irrigation decisions.
    • Gather soil nitrate samples to track nutrient availability.
    • Manage the placement and removal of field signs.

    What you'll need#

    • Current enrollment in an accredited college or university, preferably in an Agriculture program.
    • Ability to work outside for long periods in various weather conditions.
    • Strong organizational skills and the ability to learn new concepts quickly.
    • Self-motivation and the ability to complete tasks with minimal supervision.
    • A valid driver’s license, a good driving record, and a reliable vehicle.
    • Proficiency with iPads, GPS software, and field equipment.

    • Location: Bringhurst, Indiana.
    • Work Modality: On-site.
    • Employment Type: Part-time, rolling term.
    • Compensation: Paid position with mileage reimbursement and drone license exam fee coverage.
