About the role#
As a Machine Learning and Data Science Engineering Intern, you will work with the Facilities Reliability Engineering team to help AI infrastructure run more reliably. You will gain practical experience by applying data science and machine learning methods to real operational telemetry. Your work will help engineers identify patterns, understand anomalies, and make informed decisions about infrastructure performance.
What you'll do#
- Analyze telemetry from data center facilities and engineering infrastructure.
- Clean and explore datasets to prepare them for analysis.
- Build reproducible analyses and evaluate predictive models.
- Create visualizations to represent your findings.
- Document your assumptions and share results with technical colleagues.
- Own defined tasks while receiving guidance and feedback from the team.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as a junior or senior undergraduate, or in a master's program, in computer science, data science, statistics, AI, or a related field.
- Foundational knowledge of machine learning, statistics, and data analysis gained through coursework, projects, or research.
- Programming experience in Python and familiarity with common data-analysis libraries.
- Experience preparing, exploring, analyzing, and visualizing datasets.
- Understanding of supervised machine learning concepts, such as regression, classification, model training, and evaluation.
- Clear communication skills and a methodical approach to problem-solving.

- This is an on-site internship based in Austin, Texas.
- The position is full-time and paid.
