About the role#
As a Strategic Assurance and SOC Services (SASS) Intern, you will join our team for the Summer 2027 term. You will work alongside staff, managers, and partners to help clients assess their internal controls environment. You will gain hands-on experience by participating in both consulting and assurance projects, including SOC 1, SOC 2, HIPAA, and HITRUST engagements. This role requires a commitment to high-quality work and professional development under the guidance of experienced leadership.
What you'll do#
- Collaborate with clients to plan engagement strategy, define objectives, and address business risks and issues.
- Test and evaluate business processes and information technology controls to mitigate risk.
- Obtain relevant control evidence, select and apply testing methods, and document results.
- Perform detailed analysis to identify compliance needs and opportunities for improvement.
- Participate in client status updates and draft client deliverables.
- Manage your workload to meet project budgets and objectives.
What you'll need#
- Current pursuit of a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Computer Engineering, Business Administration, Information Technology, MIS, or a related field.
- Minimum overall GPA of 3.0/4.0.
- Strong analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work additional hours as needed and travel 20%-50% as required.
- Authorization to work in the U.S. without the need for employment-based visa sponsorship.
Location & details#
- Location: Denver, Colorado.
- Modality: Hybrid (requires in-person attendance at least three days per week at a GT office or client site).
- Compensation: $37.00 per hour.
