About the role#
Grainger is hiring for a Summer 2027 Finance Internship at our Lake Forest, Illinois location. This is a full-time, 10-week paid program designed to provide college students with practical experience in corporate finance. You will report to a finance or accounting leader and participate in a comprehensive onboarding program, structured development sessions, and meet and greets with executive leaders.
What you'll do#
- Support business units including Sales, Supply Chain, and IT.
- Complete business-critical project work from start to finish.
- Gain broad exposure to finance operations, including accounting, tax, treasury, audit, and financial planning.
- Use visualization tools like Power BI and SQL to analyze data.
- Automate internal processes and improve cost structures.
- Work with financial planning software and digital workflows.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a college or university, working toward a bachelor's or master's degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, Data Science, Mathematics, or a related STEM discipline.
- A cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher.
- Proven ability to meet tight deadlines and prioritize tasks.
- Familiarity with various digital tools and software, with a willingness to learn new systems.
- Analytical skills to summarize data into insights and evaluate processes.
