The Student Researcher Program fosters academic collaborations by placing students on research projects aligned with company priorities. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to research, engineering, and science initiatives across teams including Google Research, Google DeepMind, and Google Cloud. Projects are exploratory in nature and intended to drive scientific advancement and support the creation of breakthrough technologies.
What you'll do#
- Participate in research to develop solutions for real-world, large-scale problems.
- Collaborate on projects that explore innovative research challenges.
- Support the creation of breakthrough technologies.
- Work on projects aligned with company priorities in scientific advancement.
- Drive scientific advancement across multiple research areas.
What you'll need#
- Currently enrolled in a PhD program in Computer Science, Linguistics, Statistics, Biostatistics, Applied Mathematics, Operations Research, Economics, Natural Sciences, or a related technical field at a university in the United States.
- Experience in a computer science field, such as Natural Language Understanding, Machine Learning, Computer Vision, or algorithmic foundations.
- Proficiency in one or more general-purpose programming languages, such as Python or Java.
- Experience contributing to research communities or efforts, including publishing papers in major conferences or journals.
- Ability to work on-site for the duration of the engagement.
