About the role#
The Student Researcher Program connects students with research projects across Google, including Google DeepMind, Google Research, and Google Cloud. This program focuses on scientific advancement and exploratory work, allowing participants to contribute to large-scale research projects and breakthrough technologies. Placements are non-conversion eligible and intended for students who will return to their degree program upon completion.
What you'll do#
- Participate in research to develop solutions for real-world, large-scale problems.
- Work collaboratively on projects that explore innovative research challenges.

- Support the creation of new technologies through scientific advancement.
- Engage in academic collaborations that align with company priorities.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor's or Master’s degree program in Computer Science, Linguistics, Statistics, Biostatistics, Applied Mathematics, Operations Research, Economics, Natural Sciences, or a related technical field.
- Experience in a computer science field such as Natural Language Understanding, Human Computer Interaction, Computer Vision, Machine Learning, Deep Learning, Optimization, Quantum Information Science, or Data Science.
- Proficiency in at least one general-purpose programming language, such as Python, Java, JavaScript, or C/C++.
- Experience as a researcher, including previous internships, lab work, or contributions to research communities such as published papers.
- English language proficiency.
