About the role#
The Lightspeed Tech Center is an R&D department within Lightspeed Studios. This team leads research and discovery of new technologies to support game development across all stages of the product lifecycle. As an intern, you will work alongside scientists to build advanced technical solutions.
What you'll do#
- Develop techniques in 3D geometric learning.
- Work on re-meshing and UV optimization.
- Implement physically-based animation and simulation.
- Apply machine learning to computer graphics.
- Research motion planning for virtual cities.
- Build systems for character locomotion and control.
- Create realistic image synthesis and real-time rendering techniques.
- Develop tools and pipelines to integrate new technologies into the game development environment.
What you'll need#
- Strong coding skills in C++, Python, or TensorFlow/Torch.
- Solid knowledge of calculus, linear algebra, and numerical analysis.
- A sense of responsibility and clear communication skills.
- Current enrollment in a Master or Ph.D. program is preferred.
- Experience with game engines, graphics APIs, and GPU programming is a plus.
- Publications in computer graphics, vision, machine learning, or robotics are a plus.
