About the role#
We are looking for an IT Operations Intern to join our team in Palo Alto. You will work with our IT Operations, Infrastructure, and Service Support teams. This role involves supporting daily IT operations, project delivery, data analysis, and process improvement. You will gain experience in enterprise IT operations, service management, and cross-team collaboration.
What you'll do#
- Support day-to-day IT operations, including issue follow-up, service tracking, and reporting.
- Coordinate IT projects by tracking tasks, taking meeting notes, and providing progress updates.
- Work with engineers to support project delivery and ensure actions are closed on time.
- Collect and analyze IT operational data to identify trends and risks.
- Prepare dashboards, reports, and management summaries to improve operational visibility.
- Plan and coordinate team activities, training sessions, and workshops.
- Maintain internal knowledge bases, process documents, and service guides.
- Communicate with internal stakeholders to clarify requirements and resolve issues.
- Identify opportunities to improve workflows and operational processes.
What you'll need#
- Current Bachelor’s or Master’s student in Information Systems, Computer Science, IT Management, Engineering, Business Analytics, Project Management, or a related field.
- Basic understanding of IT operations, infrastructure, or enterprise IT support.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks.
- Experience or interest in project coordination, operational planning, or service delivery.
- Proficiency with Excel for data analysis and reporting.
- Experience with tools like Jira, Confluence, ServiceNow, SharePoint, or Power BI is a plus.
- Familiarity with visualization tools like Tableau or Looker Studio is helpful.
- Basic knowledge of automation, scripting, or AI productivity tools is a plus.
- Ability to work independently and handle complex tasks.
- Bilingual proficiency in English and Mandarin is highly preferred.
- Previous internship or project experience in IT Operations, PMO, or Data Analysis is a plus.
Location & details#
- This is a full-time, on-site position based in Palo Alto, California.
- You must be available for a minimum of 6 months and a maximum of 12 months.
- This role is paid, and you will work from our Palo Alto office.
