About the role#
The Lightspeed Tech Center at Tencent is seeking a Game Research and Development Intern to join our team in Los Angeles. You will work alongside scientists to research and develop advanced techniques for modern game engines. This is a full-time, on-site role with a rolling start date.
What you'll do#
- Research and develop advanced techniques in 3D geometric learning.
- Work on re-meshing and UV optimization.
- Develop physically-based animation and simulation systems.
- Apply machine learning to computer graphics.
- Conduct research on motion planning in virtual cities and character locomotion.
- Explore realistic image synthesis and real-time rendering techniques.
- Build tools and pipelines to support the game development environment.
What you'll need#
- Strong coding skills in C++, Python, or TensorFlow/Torch.
- Solid knowledge of calculus, linear algebra, and basic numerical analysis.
- Good communication skills and a strong sense of responsibility.
- Preference is given to graduate students in a master or Ph.D. program.
- Experience with game engines, graphics APIs, and GPU programming is a plus.
- Publications in computer graphics, vision, machine learning, or robotics are preferred.
Location & details#
- Location: Los Angeles, California.
- This position is full-time and on-site.
- Pay ranges from $28.27 to $60.00 per hour based on experience.
