About the role#
As an Applied Scientist Intern, you will work on machine intelligence and machine learning applications. You will turn product goals into specific machine learning tasks, design experiments for optimization, and implement prototypes of scalable AI systems. You will also prepare and refine datasets to support modeling and feature development.
What you'll do#
- Analyze and improve the performance of algorithms on large-scale datasets.
- Identify key challenges in product scenarios and design experimental processes for iteration.
- Implement prototypes for AI applications.
- Review data quality, suggest inclusions or exclusions, and address technical constraints.
- Assist in developing usable datasets and scaling feature ideation.
- Adapt cleaned data for machine learning tasks under the guidance of a senior team member.
- Learn research techniques and industry trends, sharing your findings with your team.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a full-time Bachelor's or Master's degree program in Computer Science, Statistics, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Economics, or a related field.
- At least one additional quarter or semester of school remaining after the internship concludes.
- Enrollment in an academic program during the term immediately preceding the internship.
- Preference is given to candidates currently pursuing a Master's degree in the fields listed above.

- This position is based on-site in Redmond, Washington.
- The internship is full-time and paid.
