About the role#
This internship with the Global HIV Medical Affairs team offers a chance to contribute to scientific innovation and support the needs of people impacted by HIV. You will gain experience in a professional environment, participate in leadership presentations, and engage in community programs. This is a full-time, paid position designed for graduate-level students.
What you'll do#
- Analyze novel, emerging data to determine relevant information for medical content.
- Create, review, and update Medical Affairs slide decks and medical information response documents.
- Update medical training documents to ensure alignment with the Medical Affairs Plan of Action.
- Collaborate with functional areas including Commercial, Marketing, Clinical Research, Global Patient Safety, Public Affairs, Government Affairs, Regulatory, and Legal.
- Assess data from medical conferences to support deck development and training activities.
- Present your work through a final poster board and a formal presentation.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as a full-time graduate or doctoral student in a PharmD, Masters, or PhD program in a health-related, biomedical, or life sciences field.
- Specialization or research experience in HIV, virology, or related areas is preferred.
- Minimum overall cumulative GPA of 2.8.
- Ability to commit to a 10-12 week full-time internship between May and August 2027.
- Must be at least 18 years of age and independently authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
- Enrollment as a full-time student for the Fall Semester following the internship.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively in a team.
- High level of organization and attention to detail.
- Demonstrated commitment to inclusion and diversity.
