About the role#
This internship provides hands-on experience in the clinical development process. You will support global clinical trials across multiple therapeutic areas, working alongside Clinical Operations professionals to assist with study start-up, trial management, and vendor oversight. The role offers exposure to the execution of Phase I to Phase IV studies while contributing to projects that support patient-focused drug development.
What you'll do#
- Support Clinical Operations teams in the planning and execution of clinical trial activities.
- Assist with tracking study milestones, timelines, and operational metrics.
- Maintain clinical trial documentation and filing systems, including Trial Master File (TMF) quality checks.
- Participate in study team meetings and prepare agendas, notes, and action item trackers.
- Assist with the review and reconciliation of study-related reports and dashboards.
- Support vendor and CRO management activities.
- Contribute to process improvement initiatives and operational excellence projects.
- Perform data analysis and create presentations for study teams and leadership.
- Learn and apply ICH-GCP guidelines and company SOPs.
- Collaborate with cross-functional partners and present your work at the end of the term.
What you'll need#
- Current full-time enrollment in a Bachelor’s, Master’s, MBA, JD, or PhD program in Life Sciences, Public Health, Nursing, Pharmacy, Clinical Research, Health Sciences, Biomedical Sciences, Business, or Project Management.
- Continued full-time enrollment in the Fall semester following the internship.
- Minimum cumulative GPA of 2.8.
- Ability to commit to a full-time, 10-12 week internship between May and August.
- Independent authorization to work in the United States without company sponsorship.
- Minimum age of 18.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools.
- Experience or coursework in clinical research, biotechnology, pharmaceuticals, or data analysis.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work both independently and in a team.
- High level of organization and attention to detail.
