About the role#
This internship provides an opportunity to gain experience in technical engineering within a biotechnology research environment. You will contribute to projects that support corporate operations and engineering standards. The role is a full-time, paid position lasting 10 to 12 consecutive weeks between May and August 2027.
What you'll do#
- Support Good Engineering Practice (GEP) updates by reviewing lessons learned from capital projects and incorporating improvements into standards.
- Assist with document revisions and track redlines.
- Participate in the Utility Mapping Project through field verification, data collection, and documentation.
- Verify engineering documentation for Building 368 by reviewing drawings and conducting field walkdowns.
- Identify discrepancies and recommend necessary updates to drawings or documents.
- Prepare and present project findings, including delivering presentations to the Engineering Forum and addressing stakeholder feedback.
- Create a final presentation to showcase your work at the end of the internship.
What you'll need#
- Current full-time enrollment in a Bachelor’s, Master’s, MBA, JD, or PhD program, with continued enrollment in the following Fall semester.
- Major in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering.
- Minimum cumulative GPA of 2.8.
- At least 18 years of age at the start of the internship.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work both independently and within a team.
- High level of organization and attention to detail.
- Demonstrated commitment to inclusion and diversity.
- Independent authorization to work in the United States now and in the future without sponsorship.
