About the role#
Genuine Parts Company is hiring a Procurement/Sourcing Intern for the summer of 2027. This is a 10-week, full-time internship program based in Atlanta. You will work directly with the Sourcing team to gain hands-on experience in supplier management, strategic sourcing, and supply chain operations. The program runs from May 24 to July 30, 2027.
What you'll do#
- Support sourcing initiatives through data gathering, analysis, and reporting.
- Assist with supplier research, data validation, and the maintenance of sourcing information.
- Create reports, dashboards, and presentations to support business decisions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Product, Inventory Planning, Logistics, and Supply Chain.
- Analyze business data to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement.
- Present findings and recommendations to team members and leadership.
- Support special projects and strategic initiatives as assigned.
What you'll need#
- You are a rising junior or senior pursuing an undergraduate degree in Business Administration, International Business, Supply Chain, or a related field.
- A GPA of 3.25 or above is preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Ability to organize and analyze large data sets.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Leadership skills and the ability to motivate others.
- A commitment to company values, including serving, performing, influencing, respecting, innovating, and working as a team.
Location & details#
- This role is located on-site in Atlanta, Georgia.
- The internship is a full-time position, 40 hours per week.
- Working hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
