About the role#
GE Vernova is looking for interns to join the Grid Software Solutions team. This role focuses on the services and engineering functions within the company. You will work on projects with real-world implications while learning from industry professionals. This is a full-time paid internship for Summer 2027.
What you'll do#
- Solve technical challenges related to Wholesale Energy Markets.
- Gain hands-on experience with digital technologies.
- Contribute to substantial projects that support our energy and decarbonization goals.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Master or PhD program at an accredited university or a credentialed software accelerator.
- A degree focused on Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related STEM field.
- A GPA of 3.0 or higher.
- Ability to work full time (40 hours per week) for the duration of the internship.
- Legal authorization to work in the United States without company sponsorship.
- Prior experience through internships, co-ops, or research in software, electrical engineering, or power systems.
- Hands-on coding experience and strong analytical skills.
- Familiarity with machine learning, deep learning, GPU applications, or quantum computing.
- Experience with artificial intelligence and conversational AI technologies.
- Background in optimization or power systems.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrated creative problem solving and a proactive approach to learning.
