    About the role#

    GBA is looking for a Mechanical Engineer Intern to join the Mission Critical group in Lenexa, Kansas. This team designs mechanical and electrical systems for data centers, telecommunications, and industrial facilities. You will work alongside senior staff on projects from start to finish.

    What you'll do#

    • Prepare construction documents for electrical and mechanical systems.
    • Review shop drawings and RFIs.
    • Verify permitting and code requirements.
    • Conduct facility evaluations and engineering studies.
    • Assist with troubleshooting and commissioning.
    • Handle other duties as assigned.

    What you'll need#

    • Current enrollment in a BS program for Architectural, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering.
    • Completion of at least 2 years of your degree program.
    • Working knowledge of AutoCAD.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
    • Strong written and oral communication skills.
    • Interest in working within a collaborative team environment.
    • Previous internship experience is a plus.
