About the role#
As a Mechanical Engineer Intern in our Forensics Practice, you will gain hands-on experience investigating HVAC and building systems. You will work on projects involving system failures, damage, and performance issues across commercial, institutional, and specialty facilities. This role involves working with a multidisciplinary team to develop engineering solutions.
What you'll do#
- Assist in field investigations of HVAC and building systems by documenting conditions and collecting data.
- Support evaluations of system performance and failure modes using engineering tools.
- Help prepare technical reports and exhibits for clients and legal proceedings.
- Collaborate with team members to develop practical solutions for repair or mitigation.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as an undergraduate or graduate student in mechanical engineering.
- A strong academic record.
- An interest in building systems and forensic problem-solving.
- Experience with AutoCAD, Revit, or HVAC analysis tools is preferred but not required.

- Status: Full-time, paid internship.

- Compensation: $25 - $35 per hour.
