About the role#
As a Data Science Intern at Gallup, you will turn data into insights that help product leaders make decisions. You will work alongside data scientists and product managers to solve real product challenges, uncover patterns in user engagement, and translate your findings into recommendations. This is a full-time, paid internship for Summer 2027 based in our San Francisco office.
What you'll do#
- Analyze product and customer data to uncover patterns and answer business questions.
- Use Python, SQL, and statistical methods to build analyses and translate findings into actionable insights.
- Support product analytics for CliftonStrengths.
- Partner with stakeholders to conduct analyses and communicate findings.
- Explore opportunities to use data to support marketing efforts.
- Apply modern data science and AI tools to work efficiently and experiment with new approaches.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a bachelor’s or graduate degree program in computer science, statistics, data science, engineering, or mathematics.
- Classroom or work experience coding in Python and its data science libraries.
- Aptitude in programmatic statistical analysis and modeling, including univariate or multivariate analysis.
- Experience with nonparametric and nonlinear methods through coursework, research, or work.
- Ability to write SQL to query, join, and aggregate data from relational databases or cloud data warehouses.
- Enrollment at a college or university within an 80-mile radius of San Francisco, California.
- Availability to work 40 hours per week for 12 weeks during the summer of 2027.
- Ability to explain technical analyses to nontechnical audiences, familiarity with Git, and exposure to large language models or generative AI are preferred.
Location & details#
- This role is based in San Francisco, California.
- The work modality is hybrid, with a requirement to work on-site Monday through Thursday.
- You must be eligible to work in the United States, as this position does not offer visa sponsorship.
- Graduation between August 2027 and May 2028 is preferred.
