About the role#
Join the DevOps team at Gallup for a 12-week summer internship in 2027. You will work alongside experienced cloud, network, and system engineers on real projects. This role focuses on modernizing infrastructure and contributing to our global platform.
What you'll do#
- Migrate workloads to the cloud by coding, testing, and implementing infrastructure automation services.
- Build and improve CI/CD pipelines in GitHub Actions to automate how teams build, test, and deploy code.
- Use containers and infrastructure as code with tools like Docker, Amazon ECS, and Terraform.
- Set up integration and support cloud environments.
- Collaborate with a technology team to modernize infrastructure using current cloud technologies.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in an associate, bachelor’s, or graduate degree program in computer science, MIS, or a related field.
- Enrollment at a college or university within a 250-mile radius of Omaha, Nebraska.
- Basic knowledge of AWS, GCP, or Microsoft Azure.
- Basic knowledge of GitHub and GitHub Actions.
- Experience with Windows or Linux server administration, networking, or infrastructure.
- Classroom or professional experience with at least one of these: IIS, Python.NET.NET Core, Terraform, Puppet, Jenkins, PowerShell, Docker, Amazon ECS, GitHub, or GitHub Actions.
- Familiarity with CI/CD concepts like automated builds, testing, and deployment pipelines.
- Eligibility to work in the United States. Please note that this position does not offer visa sponsorship.
Location & details#
- This is a full-time, paid internship for 40 hours per week over 12 weeks during the summer of 2027.
- The role is located in Omaha, Nebraska.
- You are required to work on-site at the Omaha office Monday through Thursday, with the option to work remotely on Friday.
