About the role#
As a product design intern, you will work alongside experienced designers to turn complex ideas into intuitive digital experiences. You will contribute to real product work and see how human behavior, technology, and visual design combine to create useful products. This is a paid, full-time summer internship.
What you'll do#
- Partner with experienced designers on scoped product design projects.
- Explore user needs and use cases to inform design concepts.
- Organize design files and support consistent design practices.
- Collaborate with product and engineering partners to move ideas from exploration to implementation.
- Build your design skills through feedback and mentorship on real-world challenges.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a bachelor’s degree program in human-computer interaction, graphic design, product design, interaction design, computer science, or a related field.
- A portfolio showcasing your product design work.
- Anticipated graduation between August 2027 and May 2028.
- Enrollment at a college or university within a 250-mile radius of Omaha, Nebraska.
- Availability to work 40 hours per week for 12 weeks during the summer of 2027.
- Eligibility to work in the United States (sponsorship is not provided).
- Previous internship or hands-on experience is preferred.
- Experience with Figma or similar prototyping tools is preferred.
- An interest in how AI tools support design and creative problem-solving is preferred.
Location & details#
- This role is based in Omaha, Nebraska.
- You must work on-site Monday through Thursday, with the option to work remotely on Fridays.
- The internship runs for 12 weeks during the summer of 2027.
