About the role#
The Multifamily Division at Freddie Mac is seeking interns for the summer of 2027. This role provides exposure to the multifamily housing finance industry through real-world projects and collaboration with professionals across the organization. You will build business acumen and develop technical skills while supporting our mission to provide liquidity and stability to the housing market.
What you'll do#
- Engage with team members to understand multifamily business operations.
- Support initiatives through research, analysis, reporting, and project execution.
- Prepare briefs, summaries, presentations, and other business materials to develop professional writing skills.
- Assist with projects related to risk analysis, deal execution, loan accounting, portfolio management, and business operations.
- Work with cross-functional teams to solve business challenges and contribute ideas.
- Support various functions such as Asset Management, Capital Markets, Operational Risk, and Underwriting.
What you'll need#
- Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, Economics, Marketing, Information Technology, Real Estate, Mathematics, or Statistics.
- Expected graduation date between December 2027 and May 2028.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Leadership experience, volunteer involvement, or participation in campus activities is a plus.
