About the role#
As an Accounting Generalist Intern, you will support the VP of Plant Finance in various phases of accounting. This role provides an opportunity to contribute to meaningful projects while developing your professional skills. You will work on-site in Phoenix, Arizona.
What you'll do#
- Prepare and enter journal entries for multiple entities.
- Validate daily thrift store deposits and sales.
- Reconcile period GL account recons and balance bank and GL accounts using BlackLine.
- Analyze general ledger accounts and prepare quarterly schedules.
- Assist with the period and quarter-end accounting closing process.
- Develop AI-powered process automations to improve efficiency and optimize workflows.
What you'll need#
- Must be a rising senior pursuing a 4-year degree in Accounting or Finance.
- Completion of all accounting or finance pre-requisite and introductory level courses.
- Proficiency in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Strong analytical, data-processing, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to perform under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
- Strong team collaboration and organizational skills.
