About the role#
As an MOA Extern, you will work under the direct supervision of a Lead or Senior Medical Assistant. This role focuses on maintaining efficient patient flow by preparing examination rooms and supporting clinical staff during scheduled appointments.
What you'll do#
- Escort patients to and from examination and procedure areas.
- Shadow senior staff members during the performance of vital signs, phlebotomy, and EKGs.
- Review upcoming appointments to identify and prepare necessary medical supplies.
- Set up equipment and examination rooms in advance of patient arrivals.
- Perform additional related duties as required.
What you'll need#
- A High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Current enrollment in a Medical Assistant program.

- This position is located in New Hyde Park, New York.
- The role is on-site and full-time.
- This is a paid externship with a rolling term.
