About the role#
As an MOA Extern, you will work under the direct supervision of a Lead or Senior Medical Assistant. This role focuses on supporting patient flow and ensuring examination rooms are properly prepared for scheduled appointments.
What you'll do#
- Escort patients to and from examination or procedure areas.
- Shadow senior staff members while they perform vital signs, phlebotomy, and EKGs.
- Review upcoming appointments to identify and prepare necessary supplies.
- Set up equipment and supplies in advance of patient visits.
- Perform related duties as required.
What you'll need#
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Current enrollment in a Medical Assistant program.
