About the role#
As a Medical Office Assistant (MOA) Extern, you will work under the direct supervision of a Lead or Senior Medical Assistant. You will help maintain patient flow by preparing examination rooms and ensuring all necessary supplies are ready for scheduled appointments.
What you'll do#
- Escort patients to and from examination or procedure areas.
- Shadow senior staff members during tasks like taking vital signs, phlebotomy, and EKGs.
- Review upcoming appointments to identify and prepare the required equipment.
- Set up examination rooms in advance.
- Handle other related duties as needed.
What you'll need#
- A High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Current enrollment in a Medical Assistant program.
- No specific certifications are required for this role.
