About the role#
As a Community Development Intern, you will work with the Planning team to support grants management and community development initiatives. This role provides hands-on experience with the planning process and an understanding of how non-profit management and public service function in practice.
What you'll do#
- Assist with subrecipient grant management and monitor grantee performance.
- Collect performance measures and prepare reports.
- Maintain file compliance and assist with agency communications.
- Support funding applications and conduct research.
- Assist with data analysis for community development projects.
- Support housing and community development policies, plans, and professional convenings.
What you'll need#
- An interest in non-profit management, public service, and grant administration.
- An interest in the housing and community development field.
- Academic background in fields such as Business Administration, Public Health, Urban Planning, Political Science, or Economics.
Location & details#
- This is a full-time, paid internship located in Annapolis, Maryland.
- The role is on-site.
