About the role#
The IT Co-op provides hands-on support to our Information Technology team. You will gain practical experience in enterprise IT operations, hardware and software troubleshooting, and systems administration. This position supports the reliability and security of IT services across the organization.
What you'll do#
- Assist with help desk support, including basic troubleshooting for hardware, software, printers, and network connectivity.
- Support workstation deployments, equipment setup, and user onboarding or offboarding tasks.
- Maintain accurate IT asset records and related documentation.
- Assist with routine system administration tasks under supervision, such as account updates and software installations.
- Support cybersecurity initiatives and participate in IT projects like hardware refreshes and application rollouts.
- Document IT procedures and troubleshooting guides to help improve team efficiency.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a college, university, or technical program.
- Pursuing a degree or certification in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Computer Engineering, Data Science, or a related field.
- Basic understanding of computer hardware, Windows operating systems, and networking concepts.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office and Microsoft 365 tools.
- Ability to follow documented procedures and learn new technical concepts quickly.
- Capacity to lift and move computer equipment as needed.
