About the role#
This is a paid, full-time Engineering Co-Op position for the Fall 2026 term. You will work directly with the AddUp engineering team on material testing, development, and design for additive manufacturing. This role involves applying your skills to real projects that utilize Laser Powder Bed Fusion.
What you'll do#
- Perform project-specific material characterization.
- Support the engineering team with additive manufacturing design and testing.
- Complete a short capstone project during periods of downtime.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a 4-year degree program in materials, mechanical, or metallurgical engineering, or an equivalent field.
- Completion of at least 1 to 3 years of your degree program.
- Required coursework: Introduction to Materials, Engineering Math or Calculus 1, Introduction to Chemistry, and a laboratory class.
- Preferred skills include experience with metallography, optical microscopy, material testing, and design software such as SolidWorks.
- Preferred background includes experience with additive or traditional manufacturing, welding, or dimensional testing tools like calipers and micrometers.
