About the role#
The Manufacturing Engineering Co-Op supports the development, optimization, and maintenance of manufacturing processes. This role works with Production, Quality, Maintenance, and Engineering teams to improve productivity, reduce waste, and ensure operational quality. This is a full-time, paid position for the Fall 2026 term.
What you'll do#
- Develop and optimize manufacturing processes to enhance productivity and quality.
- Provide daily technical support to production operations and troubleshoot equipment issues.
- Create and update process documentation, including work instructions, PFMEAs, control plans, and standard operating procedures.
- Analyze production data to identify trends, recommend improvements, and track key performance indicators.
- Support assembly and engineering teams during new machine builds and retrofits.
- Conduct time studies and capacity analyses to assist with capital project planning.
- Maintain facility layouts using CAD software to optimize workflow and efficiency.
- Ensure all work complies with safety standards, regulatory requirements, and internal quality policies.
What you'll need#
- Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Business Administration.
- Preferred 2+ years of experience in manufacturing or process engineering.
- Strong understanding of Lean principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Experience with CAD software, industrial automation, and manufacturing equipment.
- Solid analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to communicate effectively and work collaboratively in a production-focused environment.
