About the role#
This internship offers a chance to contribute to the development of next-generation geothermal energy. You will work alongside our engineering team in Houston to support the design of power generation equipment. Every intern receives a project scoped on their first day, which they lead for the duration of the 12-week program. You will present your results to our executive leadership and department teams at the end of the summer.
What you'll do#
- Support design workstreams for Organic Rankine Cycle (ORC) systems.
- Assist with the creation of process flow diagrams.
- Help with equipment sizing and selection.
- Participate in mechanical design reviews.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a B.S. or M.S. program for Mechanical, Aerospace, Chemical, Industrial, or a related engineering field.
- Status as a rising Junior or a Senior bachelor student graduating within the next year.
- Experience with heat and material balances.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including comfort presenting to stakeholders.
- An interest in process design and power generation equipment.
- Exposure to process modeling is preferred.

- This position is based on-site in Houston, Texas.
- This is a full-time, paid internship.
