About the role#
F.H. Paschen offers a summer internship program for students pursuing degrees in the built environment. This role provides hands-on experience working with a project team to prepare for a career in Construction Project Management. You may be involved in any phase of a project from pre-construction to closeout.
What you'll do#
- Perform quantity takeoffs and maintain material logs.
- Draft project reports and handle project correspondence.
- Review shop drawings and submittals to determine their suitability.
- Track the status of change orders and Requests for Information.
- Collect, verify, and distribute as-builts.
- Assist with blueprint reading and closeout documentation.
- Support field coordination and supervision tasks.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in Civil Engineering, Architecture, Business Administration, Environmental Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related majors.
- Knowledge of construction-related technology such as Blue Beam, Revit, and Procore.
- Experience with standard computer applications for spreadsheets, word processing, and scheduling.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
