About the role#
This is a summer internship for students pursuing careers in construction project management. You will work directly with a project team on tasks ranging from pre-construction to project closeout. This position is based in Merrillville, Indiana, and runs during the summer of 2027.
What you'll do#
- Perform quantity takeoffs and maintain material logs.
- Prepare project reports and handle correspondence.
- Review shop drawings and submittals to determine suitability.
- Track the status of change orders and Requests for Information.
- Collect, verify, and distribute as-builts.
- Assist with blueprint reading and close out documentation.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a degree program for Civil Engineering, Architecture, Business Administration, Environmental Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field in the built environment.
- Familiarity with construction software such as Blue Beam, Revit, and Procore.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Experience with spreadsheet, word processing, and scheduling software is preferred.
